Neal Albritton testifies as subject matter expert on web accessibility to California State Senate.
At the request of Senator Joel Anderson, Neal Albritton addressed the State Senate on the need for State of California government websites to create and maintain web content that is accessible to people with disabilities. The risks and liability associated with non-compliant websites was emphasized as well as the need to have a designated agency overseeing compliace of all web content used by the public.
SB 624 –Access to Government for All
Ensures that state web pages, software, documents, and mobile applications are compatible with assistive technologies. This will enable all Californians to interact with government, especially those with disabilities.
